Welcome to the inaugural year of The Chippy Tour!

Please note, this list features only those establishments that have earned a 5-star rating. However, this doesn’t mean other chippies aren't excellent. A 4-star rating indicates an outstanding chippy, well worth crossing town for or stopping by when passing. A 3-star rating typically denotes a more average experience, but that doesn’t imply they don't offer tasty food and good service.

We've had the honour of visiting and reviewing many outstanding traditional fish and chip shops from across the UK. Each time we award a chippy with a 5 Star rating, we proudly send them an award package, complete with stickers, a window decal, and a heartfelt letter of appreciation and congratulations.

As the year draws to a close, we will carefully review all the 5 Star-rated chippies to select the top three, based on our experiences. The best of the best will be celebrated in 2024 with our prestigious awards: the Gold Award for first place, the Silver Award for second, and the Bronze Award for third.

It’s important to note that every chippy awarded 5 Stars has already proven its excellence. These final accolades simply recognise those that have gone above and beyond in delivering an exceptional fish and chip experience.
